Each project begins with a brief overview outlining its purpose and context. For those interested in my creative process and reasoning, I’ve also included a deeper look at my design thinking and decision-making below.

Overview

Gloss Cloud Vaping is a brand identity project for a new vape and tobacco store targeting a predominantly female audience, while maintaining inclusivity and appeal to male consumers as well. The client’s goal was to create a modern, elegant, and visually captivating logo that represented sophistication and individuality, a brand that felt stylish without alienating the existing vaping community. The concept merges feminine confidence with a cool, urban aesthetic, reflecting both luxury and approachability. This balance ensures the brand resonates across genders while standing out within a highly competitive market.

Logo Ideation & Identity

The logo features an illustrated female figure exhaling soft, stylised smoke, a visual metaphor for the brand’s name, Gloss Cloud. The illustration embodies empowerment, refinement, and creativity, aligning with the idea of vaping as both a lifestyle and an expression of personal style. A gradient-based colour palette of deep navy, bronze, and muted golds was selected to convey a sense of luxury and warmth, while maintaining contrast for digital and physical signage. Typography was carefully chosen for its sleek serif style, complementing the visual mark without overpowering it. The final design strikes a deliberate equilibrium between glamour and edge, creating a logo that’s both bold and effortlessly sophisticated, one that naturally lends itself to high-end retail, packaging, and digital environments.

Brand Application

The visual identity was extended across multiple touchpoints, including storefront signage, packaging concepts, and a promotional website design. Each application maintains a cohesive tone through the use of dark, moody backgrounds paired with soft metallic highlights. The website mockup integrates the tagline “Vape Like a Boss, Vape with Gloss”  reinforcing the confident and stylish tone of the brand. The sleek layout and consistent colour language create a seamless transition from physical retail to digital presence.

 

Overall, the brand identity for Gloss Cloud Vaping successfully blends modern elegance with lifestyle appeal, positioning the company as a sophisticated and inclusive brand in the contemporary vaping market.
