My Pet App was conceptualised as an all-in-one pet management platform designed to help pet owners track, manage, and care for their animals more easily. The goal was to create an intuitive, friendly, and functional mobile experience that combined health tracking, shopping, education, and reminders, all in one accessible ecosystem.
Users can store medical and personal information for multiple pets, access articles on topics like nutrition, healthcare, and training, receive reminders for vaccinations and deworming, and browse an integrated e-commerce section for food, toys, and accessories. The app was designed with a focus on usability, warmth, and clarity, ensuring that even first-time users could navigate its features easily while enjoying a visually engaging experience.
The visual direction was built to be friendly, bright, and adaptable. Appealing to a broad audience of pet owners while maintaining digital clarity across mobile interfaces.
A vibrant colour palette was developed to bring energy and joy into the experience. Each major category (Health, Training, Food & Recipes, etc.) uses a distinct colour block for quick visual association, helping users navigate content through colour-coding rather than text alone. The palette consists of playful yet web-safe hues (oranges, purples, yellows, and teals) ensuring accessibility and consistent visibility across light and dark backgrounds.Typography is clean and legible, maintaining a balance between approachability and professionalism, while a consistent icon set reinforces clarity across all functions. The icons were designed to be simple, rounded, and visually consistent, creating a cohesive design language that ties every section together.
Overall, the visual identity captures a tone that is friendly, organised, and caring, mirroring the bond between pets and their owners.
Before developing the final designs, a wireframe system was created to map out the app’s navigation and ensure a smooth user journey. The focus was on simplicity and hierarchy, allowing users to access key features within two taps or less.
